Loreto D. Lizardo, MD is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who is licensed to practice medicine in the state of New Jersey. She completed her Psychiatry Residency training at UMDNJ – New Jersey Medical School in 1978. She has vast experience in both inpatient and outpatient Psychiatry, having worked for many years in both settings. She has been involved in private psychiatric practice since 1981 and has been part of Sussex County Psychiatric since 2009. She has held numerous administrative positions and is currently Medical Director of the Center for Growth and Mental Health partial care program in East Orange. She is also the Interim Chief of Psychiatry of St. Michael’s Medical Center as well as the Medical Director or its Psychiatric short-term care facility. She has also held teaching positions as assistance clinical Professor in Psychiatry at UMDNJ – Rutgers Medical School, as well as Seton Hall Graduate school program.
Dr. Lizardo’s practice is confined to Adult Psychiatry, 18 and over, and she is fluent in both English and Spanish.
